Twisted Metal: Head-On is a vehicular combat video game developed by Incognito Entertainment and published by Sony Computer Entertainment on March 24, 2005, for the PlayStation Portable and on February 5, 2008, for the PlayStation 2. Santa Monica Studio assisted in the development of both titles. Head-On is the seventh game released in the Twisted Metal series and the first game in the series to be fully shipped online.

Head-On is a direct sequel to Twisted Metal 2, ignoring the events of Twisted Metal III, Twisted Metal 4, and other installments. Like other games in the series, the events of Head-On revolve around the same theme of a man named Calypso organizing a vehicular combat tournament called “Twisted Metal,” promising the winner anything they desire.

Without a doubt, Twisted Metal: Head-On is a masterpiece on PSP with stunning graphics, colorful characters, and the fun spirit with some fantastic rock music tunes. The previous game was bad, but this one is so successful that it became an instant classic and is the best in the series. The story of Twisted Metal Head-On revolves around a man named Calypso who organizes an annual combat tournament called “Twisted Metal” with the promise of granting the winner any wish.

Head-On also includes additional mini-games that can be accessed through remote transport devices, which can be found in each level during story mode. These are bonus levels where players must collect power shards while overcoming obstacles that require a variety of tactics, including destroying taxi cars, jumping over gaps, and destroying helicopters using napalm bombs. The crucial thing is that most of these mini-games are timed, forcing the player to think on their feet while maintaining a balance of caution and risk. Accessing the end of the mini-game before the timer runs out allows the player to take full advantage of all their power-ups. Many characters cannot be unlocked except by completing the mini-games at certain levels.
