Freekscape: Escape From Hell is a 3D action/platformer video game published by Creat Studios and released on April 8, 2010, for the PlayStation Portable. The game uses the Vicious Engine. It involves controlling a demon named Freek who is trying to escape from hell. Players must solve puzzles to progress through each level. If you’re looking for a nice, small platformer to play on the go or during your free time, this is the best choice.
Features of Freekscape Escape From Hell for PSP and PPSSPP emulator:
Freekscape is a fun puzzle game. It may not amaze you, but impaling monsters with a spear for exploiting their abilities is as enjoyable as it sounds. You move from level to level on the world map, similar to Super Mario World. After several tutorial levels, your path will branch, giving you some choices in where to go next. There are about 40 levels, with some taking more than ten minutes to play through on the first attempt. We encourage you to come back and try to beat the time you spend on speed runs.
There’s a nice sense of depth in the 3D environments, but I wish Freekscape was a direct 2D affair. The levels and character models feature quality details. The enjoyable guitar tunes set the overall atmospheric tone for escaping from hell.

Getting out of hell is your goal in Freekscape, a fun little puzzle game joining the PSP family. You control a demon named Freek who doesn’t enjoy being as evil as the other monsters. He prefers to lounge with the cherubs in heaven, so after finding a sacred trident, he set out to ascend to a better place. It’s a 2D platformer, although characters and environments are displayed in 3D, often shifting and rotating as you navigate through hell.
The big trick to Freekscape is that Freek can impale enemies with his spear and then use their unique abilities. Some can be used as a bojo stick to reach higher platforms, while others can be dropped over hot magma to create a safe path (Freek’s kind heart seems to make him susceptible to the natural hazards of hell). In each level, you’ll need to figure out how to leverage the enemies wandering around you so you can reach the exit. If you fall off a platform or into the volcanic lava, you’ll simply respawn at the last checkpoint you passed, so you’re free to experiment without fear of punishment. Freekscape can be tricky, but it’s also rewarding when you finally solve a puzzle. Like any good platformer, there are plenty of jumping challenges.
