The original Akiba’s Trip PSP game was released on the PlayStation Portable in Japan by Acquire on May 19, 2011. An updated version titled Akiba’s Trip plus for PSP was released on June 14, 2012. A new release for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC HD was announced on July 20, 2021, in the United States and Europe, titled Akiba trip: Hellbound & Debriefed.

The game is set in the enthusiast paradise of Akihabara, Japan, where players undertake missions against vampire-like creatures called “Kagashi” by stripping them of their underwear and exposing them to sunlight, leading to their elimination.
